Liz crain, Med, lpc (she/her)

If you’re struggling with emptiness, loneliness, overwhelming emotions, or powerlessness in your relationships, I can help. Trauma, a difficult childhood, or painful adult relationships can affect our ability to connect with others starving us of vital emotional nourishment. In this collaborative process, there is space for playfulness, humor, creativity, as well as deep grief & raw emotion. I invite you to slow down, to engage with your present-moment experiences, and to gently uncover the parts of yourself yearning for attention and care.

my therapy philosophy

“Can’t I just read a self-help book?”

Many clients I see have tried to understand and master their feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and/or relationships on their own, but something was still not working. Despite their best efforts, they weren’t getting the relief they craved and were left feeling overwhelmed, empty, and disconnected. Learn more about what therapy offers that self-help cannot.

group therapy

Connect with others in a safe, validating, and confidential setting. Group therapy can help you learn more about yourself, others, and the way that you interact with the world. It also can help you to feel less alone and increase your capacity for intimacy.
